Making Abortion Illegal Will Restrict The Lives Of All Women

Abortion cannot be made illegal without many forms of birth control (and many other things) being made illegal, also.  The way the anti-choice movement seeks to outlaw abortion is to grant personhood to the fertilized egg.  Anything that can possibly harm or kill a fertilized egg will become illegal.   Fertile (approximately ages 15 to 50) women's lives will become SEVERELY restricted.  In some cases, the lives of men will be restricted, also.  This is because fertile women could become pregnant anytime and these activities can cause harm and death before she knows she is pregnant. 


Women of fertile age will not be allowed to:

drink tap water, alcohol, coffee, tea, or soft drinks containing caffeine:

Women will not be allowed to smoke cigarettes.

Men won't be allowed to work in certain occupations and still get married and have children.  An example would be pesticide applicators.

Women won't be allowed to work in certain occupations such as nursing, any occupations involving exposure to lead (they obviously wouldn't be allowed to live in houses with lead paint), dental assistants, working in the pharmaceutical industry, dry cleaning and laundry, cosmetology (including hairstylist, hairdresser, shampooer, skin care specialist and nail technician), working in hospitals in jobs involving sterilizing equipment, or have any jobs involving physical straining.

Overweight and underweight women could be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Women wouldn't be allowed to have more than one child, as the risk of miscarriage significantly increases with each successive birth.

Older men wouldn't be allowed to father children.

Women wouldn't be allowed to use electric blankets.

Women with periodontal disease could be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Among women who reported no tapwater consumption, no birth defects occurred among 263 live births; in comparison, among women who reported tapwater consumption, 4% of 908 live births had defects (P=0.0001). We observed no relation between birth defects and bottled water use.

Interesting points. The legality of abortion will take a long debate before coming down to a decision that will benefit everyone. Each side has a good point but there should only be one decision.
